Some rather significant changes happening over the past week. After having gutted and removing my Face Book account, I’ve now been removing all Instant Messenger accounts as well. Yahoo Instant Messenger will no longer be supported by Trillian as of tomorrow (8-5-2016) and that was one of the last chat accounts I had been using. Trillian was a great application for connecting to multiple chat accounts all in one package that had been recommended to me by a friend (and owner) over at G Squared Computing many years ago. But slowly over time… ICQ went dead (or at least nobody I knew was using it anymore), then AIM started to get real quiet and now this Yahoo thing. So I’ve ditched my ICQ and AIM accounts and tomorrow I’ll be ditching my Yahoo account. If you wish to chat online with me... just let me know and I'll tell how I'm doing this now and how you can connect with me.

To make things more interesting… there appears to have been a rather LARGE data breach of over 250 million Yahoo accounts. If you’re still using Yahoo Mail… you better change your password immediately.

07-26-2016 Looking for new opportunities.

So I guess it’s sort of official. Debra and I are seriously looking into moving to another part of the country. Living in California is just getting less and less advantageous. I have some serious work to do on my resume but with guidance from some folks I know I should be able to get it ‘up to snuff’ so to speak.

I really don’t expect anything to happen overnight of course, but the prospect of some completely new chapter in our lives is really exciting. At one point we were really interested in the Kingman Arizona area… somewhere in or around there. However during all this time, the IT field just doesn’t look to be very large so we’ve set our sights closer to the east coast area instead. The more we think about this and discuss it, the more exciting it becomes. The first thing is that it would put both of us closer to more of the family on both sides. There is also a great deal more “riding country” to see along with a vast amount of national history.

I think we’re about ready for some change in our lives. If anyone in the east (Tennessee or there about) happens to stumbles across this… and is looking for someone with over 20 years of experience in the computer field, please reach out to me and let’s talk. I may have the experience that you’re looking for.

07-09-2016 Another week...

Wow… even though it was a short week it sure seemed awful long. LOL  But here it is Saturday morning, all the morning routine work is done and looks like it might turn out to be another beautiful day in San Diego. Chapter president had an equally difficult week and I guess he intends to get his bike out a “shake the stink off” ride. I’m hoping that Deb and I can join him if she feels up to it. I know I sure do… the poor “Stratolounger” hasn’t been out of the garage in about three weeks now.

September 16 & 17 at Motoworld of El Cajon!

So Deb and I decided to go out for a little scoot through the back country of San Dieg last Saturday (7-9-2016). We took our favorite loop and stopped in at Major's Coffee Shop in Pine Valley. I had sent a text to one of our dear friends at Motoworld ( Tony B) to see if he'd be there and sure enough he said he would be. I'm really glad that we did that because Tony had something really exciting to tell us. And here is what it was about:

By: Rear Area Support Foundation

Hosted by: Indian Motorcycles of El Cajon and Motoworld of El Cajon

Deb and I WILL be making this event for sure and we plan to be there for both days... all day. We strongly encourage anyone that can participate to PLEASE do so!!
